Folk’avant is a Swedish-Finnish trio consisting of Anna Wikenius, vocals, Maija Kauhanen, kantele and Anna Rubinsztein, violin. The trio has it’s roots in the Nordic folk music with focus on their own original material. They create soundscapes that shift between instruments, vocal harmonies, grooves and sounds that blend together and then embark on their own adventures. The compositions find their way thanks to the musicians’ strong individual voices. The mix of grand expressions and delicate melodies all comes together with an unstopable energy and great warmth!
